Basically non of the monsters are innocent. They still want to...well...get revenge on the humans for locking them away.

Toriel basically dislike the idea, and shoved her self away into the ruins. So....she might be flawed because of the lost but she is likely one of a few real character monsters that are okay being trapped.

Tis hard to say 100%.

I think Undertale's worth checking out for the story/characters - for instance without getting into too much detail one of the things you surmised here is absolutely correct! Interesting to see your perspective here. It would be neat to see more like this from you if you ever play through the game yourself.

You clearly haven't seen the ending yet, especially since her ENTIRE behaviour and her backstory get's explained well enough throughout the game. Let me tell you as much. What you wrote is pretty hit or miss. Some things hit, A LOT of things missed. Wont say what exactly cuz spoilers but still.

Let me tell you as much though; try not to review characters of a game before you know the ending. You might come up with things that people who already know everything that is to know just shake their heads at ya. xP Just keep watching your LPs, everything'll clear up at the end. :P

all i am going to say is Munchausen syndrome.

That and she does have a rather cruel reaction towards her ex husband as well, rather heartless about it too.

To clarify, she "adopts" a child she finds lost in the woods, then when they want to leave she forces them to fight her or run away and give up. in said fight she WILL beat your ass to an inch of your life (1 hp) before she will avoid hurting you.

She is very mentally damaged to say the least. Asgore is pretty screwed up too for the same reasons, but at least he has grown to deal with it and is just filled with.... well suicidal regret and depression he tries desperately to avoid with gardening.

Well, the whole whisking you away to her home can be seen because where you fell. You can't go back the way you came and the way ahead has cost other lives, so she tries to keep you in her perceived safety.
