Now, here's another rather unique idea in the line of vending...the claw machine YCH.
View this and see the potential. https://youtu.be/E1UM8O9jBN0 (That kid does like to call out when a claw grip gets into some plush butt.)
Now, the first image can be a bit intense, I do admit. But, it's a multi-stage YCH idea.
Stage one: Filling the machine. For the potential of being among the crowd of prizes, each character must pay a small admission price. Maybe $2 or $3 for a clean, mostly head in the crowd spot. Could have some more buried spots for a $1. Could also allow for 'conjoined characters' for another amount. Or, how about some top layer, more revealing prizes that require a bit more of an admission amount. The trick to this one is that the play field must remain 'refreshable'. Which means that when a character gets plucked out, a little more gets revealed in that gap for others. I imagine the refresh work is minimal. Oh, but the potential in this FurPile full of mellowed out characters can go anywhere.
Stage two: Playing for a particular character(s): Now, the real payoff begins. For a far higher premium, sequel works can recycle the previous picture with the main star being the one, above it all inside the claw's grip. They can be firmly inside the claw, poising or dangling or doing whatever. Or, they can be barely in place, being held by a paw or the tail or the head or whatever, just as G or R as commissioned to be. For a bit more of a premium, the claw might have even grabbed two characters at once. Perhaps, it was just by chance or the pair hadn't finished doing whatever it was they were doing while in that pile. The claw does not discriminate. It plucks and puts on a show without judgement. Better yet, ANY prize in the machine is available to anyone. So, if a commissioner wants to win their character, they better play darn quick. For, once the claw plucks, it does not replenish. (Wa-hahahaha! Blackmail!) One great reason to pick characters that are not your own is to see what might be going on beneath the sea of bodies.
Stage three: Cleaning out the machine: There should also be a cheaper option where a player gets a random character. They just pay and have no choice in what they win. Probably that character in the corner that's been sitting in there for a month, ya know. Still, a moment in the spot light, unwanted by their original owner. How sad.
Stage four: Restock: If all goes well and the machine's been thoroughly played through, it might be nice to restart the cycle all over, again. Or maybe just time to replace the Furry Crane with a gumball machine. I don't know.
The main question I have with this idea is if FA would start to see it as repetitious. That could be the main spoiler, as the machine/play field remain relatively unchanged...aside from plucked Furs and the gaps for new details are created.
Since every star is different in the claw, I think the issue is moot.

to be honest, although its a brilliant idea I don't think it would go far.
I could do it as a single piece mass YCH with a place of honor in the claws and a series of ones still in the machine, but many people likely wont pay to have the same picture recycled with the characters in a different order.
Now if i could make plushies of the characters and have an actual physical reward for each win, that would likely go better but that's a LOT of work i'm not sure i'm qualified for lol

Indeed, a lot of work. And the price would be super high. Gosh...would $200 per unique plush even be considered super dirt cheap?
If I had a lot of artistic talent and knew something like flash programming, the idea might go a whole lot further. Where a player uses a CG crane to try and pull out from the furpile to discover all kinds of crazy things. Still would have the pay to fill YCH bit, of course.

$30? Really? I mean, does that just barely cover supplies?
It's not like RoC, where they churn out the same plush a million at a time. After all, I just won one from the claw earlier that was this adorable puppy with a bone in it's mouth, wishing a Merry Christmas. Plus, a plush slay for only $3 of attempted plays.

actually it covers almost double supplies, if not triple. I can buy 3M of fabric for around 15 dollars. A small easy plush maybe takes up half a meter, depending on how many times i flub it up. The issue isn't supplies, its time. and i tend to undercharge out the ass for that much work lol
