Picture if you will, a pair of bikini briefs or boxer shorts with this jolly, sandy-whiskered gentleman printed all over them. Such a thing does not exist, but it almost did, back in 1989.

The manager of the same clothing company that I designed this for asked me to draw up some designs for a "foxy" Santa Claus. I produced the illos you see here (the one where he's peeking behind the tree was going to go on the box containing the pants).

The designs were sent to the department store heads for approval and -- didn't receive any. The feedback was that the store heads "couldn't understand why a fox would dress up as Santa Claus" and didn't think anyone would want to buy it. Bah, humbug.
