For some reason I couldn't get a transparent background working. It just kept getting black. It works fine on dA but not here on FA.

FA converts images over 1280px into medium-quality JPGs, which cannot support alpha channels. Old website coding that was never updated to adjust with modern resolutions and image formats.
Reuploading the image bypasses this (click "Change Submission File" under the image). 10MB limit still applies. It used to be an old workaround "trick", but now it's something the FA upload dialogue specifically mentions.
