Having tried my hand at fiction (and perhaps not giving up), I felt I should post what I feel is my best written work.

This peice is the first in a series of scenic descriptions that I plan on working on. The basic goal is to convey as strong a picture/emotion as possible using, at most, three paragraphs.

I suspect there will be spelling/gramatical errors of some sort or another despite my best efforts to prevent it. Thats what I get for not having spell checker.
