My kobold character Korelian and
jaavik's partially-ex-kobold character Tiktaalik, doing some research into Tik's condition in that Pathfinder game I keep referring to in these pictures.
Poor Tik was always accident-prone; now that he literally doesn't know what size he is any more, things just go from bad to worse... and, not that Korelian would ever admit it to a dragon (he values his limbs!), but Tik looks cute when he's all embarrassed.

Sighing, the diminutive lizard - blue of scale and two of legs - patted his friend's arm- ...wing, reassuringly. "It's okay Tik, really... just..."
He couldn't mother the former-kobold, whose stubborn sense of valor had only grown with his ever-increasing, draconoid stature. But despite his gallant efforts to help, Tiktaalik was still stumbling, wobbling around with gangly bits of unfamilar wing and tail flailing every which way... the latest burst of transformation had been particularly potent - he had to rest! Or sit still, at least!
"...you know what I really need, Tik? On the shelf behind you, the flask on the top shelf with green stuff in it. Take that and then - very - carefully, hold it in your ha- ...wings. It just needs a little bodily warmth to initiate the reaction, but a long, long time to equilibrate," he firmly says, then adds with a veiled afterthought: "...it'll be most effective if you sit still, you'll need somewhere comfortable. The bed, perhaps..."
'Yes, that'll do the trick,' the blue-scale inwardly chuckled with satisfaction.
Thrilled to be useful, the half-wyvern grinned eagerly bobbed his long neck, "OKAY! I'll-"
He winced - his whole body still tender - and twisted around to soothe his exacerbated neck with a thumb, plowing through the wooden shelf with an involuntary flourish of his mighty tail - 50 kilograms of wyvern-muscle, -bone and -sinew.
...calloused years of harsh survival after fleeing from his Clan had made a ruthless opportunist of Korel. "...Tik, just stand perfectly still. Don't disturb the air and upset the reagents and they... hopefully won't explode... how long? Oh, they'll have to oxidize a while to deteriorate, maybe just a couple of hours..."
