As far as relationships among members of the Twelve go, Brendan Fletcher and Jessica Zhao have had quite a rocky one, not least of which brought on by Trinity exposure.

Jessica's personal issues are arguably more obvious - she had been easing herself into the Furry Fandom for some time prior to being exposed to Trinity, until her older brother had a bit of a jerkass moment and decided to show her the dark side of the fandom. Because of this and her relatively timid nature, Jessica didn't take well to the transformation into an anthropomorphic giant panda, and she has been slow in recovering from the initial shock.

As for Brendan, his transformation into an anthropomorphic Bengal tiger had more of an impact on his home life, unlike Jessica who had the benefit of strong family ties (even with her brother) for support. An only child whose parents held reserved opinions, Brendan was quick to find himself accustomed to striking out on his own in rebellion, which only helped sour his familial relationship further. In its place, even going back to before being exposed to Trinity, he felt more at home with Jess' family as their relationship grew.
