Since its around 4th Chiczum's birthday, I've decide to do some small redesign. Changes not big, but visible. Anyway, more to come.
As for this pic, it was pencilled, then scanned. Linework and color was done in Inkscape, without using tablet. Not sure if this one shouldn't be qualified as vector...
Anyway, the more I work with Inkscape, the more I prefer it to Photoshop or GIMP.

I was wondering how you got it so smooth. I got to start getting acquainted with Inkscape myself.
Inkscape is really nice tool to work with ( took me about 2 hours to get its basics ), inking with it takes more time than traditional, but you get better quality of linework, you're not limited with your scanning equipment, and even if you want to change/major fix of picture you're working with, with Inkscape you will do it quickly and without problems.
I've dabbled in vector art, but with Deneba Canvas (got an old version off a computer magazine disk). The first nine pics waaaaay back at the beginning of my gallery were done this way.
I've also done digital inks (albeit via raster graphics) and yes, a mouse tends to work better because it stays put when you click it to start a new line segment.
