Every so often on a super rare occasion, Baldric doesn't wear his armor, borrowing his boyfriend's ones. Of course, he doesn't enjoy it much, because he doesn't enjoy much of anything. So, Phil, being a sweetheart, tends to his wounds and looks after him when he needs to. Baldric may be a pain, but he's one hell of a loyal pain.

IN FACT that might be why Phil (the boyfriend) insisted on making him wear normal clothes...How the eye came out is a mystery you won't find out. It'll be fine.
