Not all wounds to the head are the same. As long as it hasn't penetrated the skull it isn't immediately lethal. Nonetheless head wounds tend to bleed. A lot. Which while not immediately lethal can prove majorly disadvantageous in a fight as blood flows into your eyes. This is why people wear head protections to prevent this in the first place. Barring that a simple headband to soak up the blood will also work for a time. Which explains a lot considering I wear neither.

This wound? 30 millimeter High explosive armor piercing (HEAP) rounds. Capable of shredding man, beast or machine. Not even a direct hit and still too close for comfort. But the deed is done and the gunship is naught but looted wreck now.

How? Sometimes people notice things even when you are firing on them. Things like which skid has a footprint on them. Which way the helicopter turns faster depending on your weight. And if you refer to yourself as a single person as you blare insults over the loud speaker.
