A few years had passed since the defeat of Tartaros, hunter work was becoming harder to come by. One day, Red Savarin was doing a job request in the Sealyham Islands and all of a sudden, he was blindsided by an out of control aircraft. Chocolat and Elh lost communication with Red. They tried to locate him, but the search would prove to be in vain. When he awoke, he found himself in a shack bound in to a chair with his arms tied behind his back. Standing in front of him was a familiar caninu giant. It was Kouglof, the head sky fisher of Sealyham, but something was different. He was standing there in nothing but a fundoshi and a headbandand seemed to have a determined albeit crazed look on his face. He explained to Red that Sealyham's economy was in peril as there were no other young people on the island to take up the Sky fisherman. He goes on to explain that it was time to finally make Red his apprentice (something Red never actually agreed to when he helped Kouglof in the past). Red refuses, but then Kouglof shoves a fish in Red's mouth. Kouglof explains that it was a rare breed of sky fish that causes male caninu that consumes it to grow into a giant musclechub with steady feedings. Kouglof himself got to the size he was because of these fish and recently outgrew all of his clothes.
It was obvious now, Kouglof wanted to mold Red in his image figuratively and literally. Weeks later, thanks to constant feedings was now almost as big as Kouglof. He was now too big to ride Dahak. He would have no choice but to be a sky fisherman. Kouglof is eager to get started.
