Ok so here's what I'd made fer dinner t'night... an was so pleased at how it turned out I felt I had ta share it with y'all ta see if it looks as great as it'd tasted... An 'asian-grilled' pork steak dinner...
ingredients:
1 pork steak
1 bag of brussel sprouts
1 bag of small red potatoes
1 & 1/4 sticks of butter
Nature's seasonings
parsley flakes
teriaki sauce
soy sauce
sweet & sour sauce
directions:
Ok fer fer this first I got out 2 sauce pots ( 1 medium fer the potatoes an 1 small fer the brussel sprouts) then I melted half a stick of butter in the small pot fer the brussel sprouts an the rest fer the potatoes.. add the natures seasonings as the butter melts then add the brussel sprouts in the small an chopped up red potatoes, added some nature's seasonings and parsley flakes to the medium then cover an let steam boil cook till tender, stirrin' occasionally.
Now fer the pork steak what I'd done was place this in a large ziploc baggie an shook in generous splashes of teriaki and soy sauce then sealed the bag, kneadin' the sauce inta the steak thoroughly then placed in the fridge fer about 30-45 mins prior ta cookin' this.
So now when I started the veggies ta cookin' I preheated the grillin' skillet an took out the pork steak an grilled it till it was a nice brown then took out the sweet an sour sauce ta give it a good bastin' on both sides fer it's final few minutes on the grill... turned the burner off an let it set as I served the veggies on m'plate then took the steak off an added it an ta-da!
The brief teriaki an soy sauce marinade was jus' right fer makin' the pork slighty salty without it bein' too over-powerin' an the sweet an sour glaze makes fer a nice counter balance ta the pork that was pure heaven ta taste!
