When I first played Symphony of the Night, my first impresion: "OMG, a Castlevania with voice dialogues : D"
After bitting the game: "ALUCARD IS AWESOME!"
Played Dawn of Sorrow "ALUCARD IS BACK IN ANIME XD"
Saw (not played) Lord of SHadows 2: "Hmmmmmm, Alucard? nah is not the same : P"
Thanks man ^ ^

yeah, Alucard in the Aria games still kept his badass prettyboyness but still felt like him. even as the VERY blatant name change of Arikado. (cuz his family must be terrible naming? lol)
Lords of Shadows series just kinda...made both Belmont line, Dracula, and Alucard all kinda...mediocre. (plus Alucard lost the whole "half vampire" part and was "full vampire" in LoS reboot...)

The LoS timeline in general is way different and I think is way to far from the original concept and storyline, or at least where it started having more of a story line with Rondo of Blood and SotN, but I hate that Aucard isn't actually born as Alucard, and that his character in a whole is way different (like how he has a son and uses a whip, or "combat cross"). And as far as Judgement, I do have to agree xD, it was for sure the hair, and though honestly, most of the character designs, I did like, but they just weren't, well, castlevania-ey enough for the series it's self, but the story part of it was pretty neat where it ties in Galamoth (and in a way, Kid Dracula).
yeah, LoS series has made Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness look beyond amazing with their extreme shortness as well. (even if i loved both titles--they were fairly mediocre compared to previou installments)
crap, i always forget Alucard was also in Harmony. :o i always play his run in the Sorrow games like i did Richter and Maria in Symphony. XD

Honestly, Curse of Darkness was the first Castlevania I ever truly beat xD, I had played SotN, LoI and Circle of the Moon beforehand, but hadn't beat them, till later (excluding CotM, still gotta play that and Harmony of Dissonance >.>) And yeah, his run is always fun xD, I just wish Konami would revive the actual series, but with their announcement of "not making anymore triple A console games" I can only hope for some sort of 3d remakes (even though usually they can't compare with the originals) and look forward to Bloodstained (along with hoping for a castlevania character in smash bros XD).
