Long time, no post!
Well, here is one of my favorites from my art class. We were to take a painting from a fine artist working between 1850 to now, redo it with a different color scheme, and make it look like a realistic commemorative stamp. I selected N.C. Wyeth's "The Opium Eater", but I tweaked the content a bit. Instead of a Victorian gentleman puffing away and chasing the dragon, I inserted my favorite pirate, Rahkus, who has an intense love of opium when he can get his hands on it.
I know it's not furry, but deal. I do other things too and I wanted to prove I'm still alive.
Acrylic on board.

Oh fuuuuuck, this is so delicious. The smooth colours blow me way; those soft greens and yellows mixed with that orange is perfect. Also, can't decide if the expression of the man holding the pipe is more sinister or bored, but I think I like it that way
Great job, man! Kudos for the little details such as the rip at the edge of the samp and swirly pattern in the pillows

I suppose your color theory class can at least be thanked for helping produce this awesomeness. Your OCD color blending amazes me all the time. That dragon is so fucking cool. It looks like it's really jumping out at you in this scan. I don't think I actually saw it IRL, but I'm sure I will.
