I've had various version of the lines for this laying around my hard drive and study for about a year. Most of my part was done in an extended fit of mania and insomnia. but the fit passed before I could learn to colour suitably, so I asked for help :)

Much deeper hues than Crowley's deck, but still very recognizably influenced.
The classic Ryder-Waite deck has antique charm, but the Crowley Thoth deck is probably the most hauntingly beautiful.
I've seen another deck, a Voodoo deck, where the cards are designed and even named differently, but it's rare to see it outside of Voodoo practices.

I think i've seen the deck you mention back when I was studying voodoo,.. it would be interesting to study it more closely :)
I think in many ways this is kind of a visual result of a meditation of Crowley's card at the time. The Thoth deck's artwork is beautiful and i've always found the deck to be the most comprehensive in practice.

Didn't want to put the lettering in for ya. I always think that should be done by the person using em.. and I despise new cards of any sort.. I always give myself paper cuts, so I wanted to make this one look old and worn, like every tarot card should be.. well handled. Was really fun doing it for you Garr, I love coloring stuff.. even if I am a lazy badger who's got stuff he should be working on...
Their attributions were based on Qabalistic and Qliphoth concordances to Uthark theory of the nordic runes. The rune's exact meanings in this operation are buried somewhere in one of my notebooks (consciously forgetting the specific attributions was part of the operation). I may make an addendum to the image in the near future explaining things a little. For now all I can say is that operation/experiment was a resounding success :)
