Sonic The Hedgehog 2006 song name, except the lamer version of the super awesome Solaris Phase II. Solaris Phase I is the more sinister one though, where Phase II is the power ballad of fight scene awesome. Love that song. Hate that game so much, but why was the music so awesome?! Figured it would work since my character looks like Silver from that game, flaming aura and glow to boot. It was either go with a Sonic title or something from Starcraft, since she's got the creeptastic Kerrigan angry face going on. Either or. Actual inspiration: The song "Rebirth Day" from Senki Zesshou Symphogear. Don't ask.

My Aeon, Fatality engaging in my ever so favourite space battle scenes against an enemy I didn't draw (he's dark as night anyway, so not like he's that visible). Did this with her predecessor against Deoxys, and ended up using super lame deus ex machina (Chaos Bond), where I actually got an even better combo now. If better means swapping out one thing for another thing, and giving her this pretty tri-colored fire aura, I'm happy. Either way, I use pictures as bizarre methods of note taking and idea experimentation.

Chopped and slapped the blades/feathers all over. Do it right once, and then rotate and warp tool for the rest. I really, really hate drawing/shading/really anything with her metal. Absolutely hate it. Pose is awkward, had to reference Superman stuff. Aura was no disappointment though. For scientific accuracy, went with a white Sun for once, and then promptly ignored the fact that diffused glow caused by our atmosphere means that in space, shadows are pure black. Again, that is what the non-scientific magical aura is for! (Might as well just eat my foot). Mostly just wanted to work on something while I'm waiting for paint stages to dry, and maybe something a bit more detailed looking than my last few images.
