All who die here must cross the five rivers, and descend into the underworld. Bathed in lightless eternal gray, beneath the watchful eyes and the whip of Erebos.
But, there are those who cannot remain content in the God of the dead’s realm, and cross back across the rivers, undead fugitives. They do not live, they have no memory of who or what they were. They retain their skills in life, but not their identity or memories.
They are the returned of Theros.
In life he was a healer, He returns without a name, but with purpose, just a desire to live and aid those who still live in the truest sense. Following Pharika’s ways he searches for a cure for the world’s maladies, and maybe even his own undeath and inertia.

Easily the strongest flavor from Magic: The Gathering’s Theros block was their take on zombies, the "Noston” or the “Returned” The art team knocked this design out of the park, and It was a fun trade. I did a few earlier iterations of it, but never was satisfied with it.
