So I did a little sketch for
Peppercoyote today in thanks for giving me a hand and great advice in choosing some recording equipment. As soon as he saw it he had to have it colored and commissioned me to do so! It was a nice welcome break from my usual work, and I really enjoyed it.
I used reference material from footage of him at one of his shows. I have a tradition of painting/drawing musicians while they perform at cons, and so I figure since I was TECHNICALLY in the building when that show was performed (although I didn't see it) it counts. :D
Pepper is awesome and very fun to draw. Totally listened to his music while I painted.

Beautiful use of colour. Those blues are quite eye-catching and contrast wonderfully with the other hues, particularly Pepper's guitar. It seems a quiet moment despite... well, ya'know, the music, but it also seems filled with a soft atmosphere. It's a peaceful scene, and you truly captured that feeling.
I love how this one just pops out of the screen. It looks so detailed and yet I'm able to follow the different lighting and such that makes it come alive. Very awesome.
And I'm sure with what you mentioned about drawing during performance helps add life and energy to the whole thing XD.
