I don't THINK I ever posted this here. . . oh well, someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Caliban, otherwise known as Cal, is one of my current D&D 2nd Ed characters. He's a wizard with the battle mage kit, and as with all my characters, an incredibly shady backstory.
He sets things on fire. And stuff. Also he's a human being, so I'm sure not many folks here will care, but once in awhile I like to post human stuff.

I was more into the Basic/Expert/Companion.Master/Immortal sets/Rules Cyclopedia of the original D&D before AD&D, but I have almost as many 2nd Edition books as I do Original ones. 3.5 coming out only a month or so after the 3.0 core books I bought upset me and I didn't get the new core books. I did later get the 4th edition core books though. I looked at the 5th edition core books, but sadly, they are far beyond my budget.
Not long ago, some people I know started an Adult Furry D&D campaign on Second Life where, for instance, humans were wolves. They even built a dungeon in the sim and it was great, but sadly did not work out due to the DM limiting creativity because of the 3.5 ruleset. I wish it had worked out.
As for my first D&D character I created a long time ago, he's a human magic-user/wizard and loremaster going by the title the White Wizard.

"He has brave utensils,--for so he calls them--
Which when he has a house, he'll deck withal
And that most deeply to consider is
The beauty of his daughter; he himself
Calls her a nonpareil: I never saw a woman,
But only Sycorax my dam and she;
But she as far surpasseth Sycorax
As great'st does least."

You still play AD&D? Sweet. I grew up on that.
I hear Leucrotta has a first print edition of Deities and Demigods that still has the Cthulhu and Melnibonéan (Elric series) mythos sections
