Sketch 12, Asuka Langley - The Second Child.

Thought I’d try and emulate the feel of combat from the show here. It’s not perfect, but I’m quite happy with how this one turned out. I got a bit carried away with the blocks of tone, but it works for it.

Fun Fact: In the main series and movies her family name was Sohryu, but in the Rebuild of Evangelion movies it was changed to Shikinami. Both are japanese maritime vessel names, keeping with the theme of most of the characters in the show. Langley was also the name of a US aricraft carrier.
