Wow. I really don't mean to sound self-centered, but after rereading this (I kinda wrote it and put it away for a while) I am really proud of my style improvements. Maybe it seems the same to you guys, but this poem 'flows' for me.
It's alive. At least I think so.
More specifically, this poem is about the 'L' in Chicago. I spent a lot of time riding it in the 3 days I was there, and I kinda fell in love with it... Anyway, here's a poem about it!
The bits in the normal quotation marks are the automated voice that tells you what train you're on, what stop is next, etc. I thought it would be cool to include some of the 'L's "voice", per se.
