Well, with how smooth the metallic exterior is, it gives the impression of needing to be flexible for any range of motion, so I thought it'd sound fancy and high-tech to say the skin level smoothness was from some kind of advanced liquid metal exterior that allows for a body shape indistinguishable from a natural body, though still possessing the feel and reflective quality of a metal.
This doppelgänger is meant to be separate from androids the two of you usually go for which are usually indistinguishable from living things on the exterior, being a unique entity (of currently unknown origin on my end).
