Commissioned by
Zoober to draw his big bear character
After a long day of high school, this young 8'6" bear likes to come home, take of his shoes and enjoy a few tubs of ice cream.
I think the background took longer to make than the actual character himself. ahaha Drawings within drawings! I still had fun though and that's what matters! I kinda cheated with the painting in the middle, I recycled one of my older drawings and just put in the landscape. Works well as a painting on a wall in this earth toned home.
Hope y'all enjoy!

Very good work! Nice pics of his past.
Oh, why not that bear have some ice cream from the Unilever company-Klondike!? To me, that's the official ice cream for all bears!
(I'm sure he'd be happy to see these commercials while he watches TV:

Hee...He's bigger than me for sure.. I'd have to look up at him even more than you look at me..
Great job as always Rodoni-san. I honestly don't know what to say since people above said it all! I just have to say I really regret not paying more attention to details of journals I'm reading... Oh well maybe next time! Great to see you draw again! Love ya buddy, keep up the great work and let's chat more often! I kinda miss chatting with you hahaha

I don't comment on things often but I had to in this case.
As others have mentioned, I love the details of this picture...especially the sagging couch and his socks and shoes off to the side. The pictures on the wall are great as well - they'd be great pictures to see just on their own. I like that they show some history (what is it about seeing a guy growing up nice and big that's so appealing? ), as well as perhaps parents' pride in their son.
Kudos, of course, have to also go to the character's creator, who came up with a concept for a big bear that I am sure many of us enjoy. I noticed he had a nice description on an image in his gallery that I think people would appreciate reading.
Anyway, amazing work as always - I always enjoy seeing your work.

I really do appreciate all the compliments, man! It does mean a lot that you to comment on my piece when you rarely comment in general. :)
And indeed kudos to Zoober for creating such a fun character!
I may upload those two paintings up separately, I dunno it depends on how Zoober feels about it. Haha

You're welcome. I've always been more of a silent appreciator of people's art on here I guess you could say. (Big chubby masculine bears who love to eat alot hit a certain spot for me, so maybe that's I was more inclined to say something in this case )
With regard to the paintings, it wouldn't hurt to ask, I suppose. I know someone else made a similar comment about seeing them on their own, but I understand that it's up to Zoober.

Thats why i do "abstract art" when i have to do like a painting inside a room =P http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14586115/
But the paintings you did are such a nice background story for the character <3 well done!
