I've recently found some old artwork, and in the interest of possibly showing improvement between then & now, have decided to post a sampling. All of these oldies were done on regular copy paper & drawn with crappy felt-tip markers that bled all over the place.
Skunk pic story, pt 2:
The first anthro fandom I was exposed to was centaur anthros. Mind you, I preferred bipedal forms, but I thought the fandom was only into 'taurs so that's what my fursona was & that's what I made an effort to draw.
Then I attended the San Diego Comic-Con in (I think) 1991. I was having a lousy day, and to top it off had just been utterly disrespected by an artist I idolized. I was despondently shuffling myself back to a friend's huckster's booth when I quite literally bumped into the very first fursuiter I ever met. He was a skunk. He was tall, he was bipedal, & wearing a "No, I'm not Pepe LePew" badge. Most importantly, he gave me a great big hug. It totally made my day & was one of the highlights of the con.
This pic was first seen in Yarf!, an anthro 'zine. I'm still amazed that they used it
