In a small city on the edge of an active volcano, every year a young woman was thrown into the crater to appease the deity the people thought lived within. After decades of sacrifices, the spirits of the victims coalesced and gave life to the molten rock they were trapped in. Her mind was shaped by the final thoughts of the victims though, and their fear, pain and anger drover her to seek revenge on the city below.

Slime for the monstergirl challenge

Not a slimegirl in the traditional sense but it's still a sentient blob of super viscous liquid so it still counts. Kind of.

I'm really proud of this one. I had a really good idea of what I wanted to accomplish and that really helped with the modelling. The lava effect came out pretty good, the experimental rig I animated it with worked great and I really like the backstory I came up with.

The claws and spiked crown are meant to be obsidian, volcanic glass, if anyone's wondering. Because why just burn or bury someone under a sea of molten rock when you can stab them a bit as well.
