I think Sonic may have looked something like this inbetween his Classic and Modern years. Pushing his limits, doing plenty of roughhousing (with Knux most likely), and toying with Robotnik more then usual.

It's fine though, he had a lot of fun!

EDIT: You know those times where you stop working on something because you hate it but look back at it months later and go "why did I stop? This is actually ok"? Yeah that's what happened to these.
