Pokemon is not a kid TV-show to my mind ) because... where have we seen animals with happy faces fighting each other almost to death, really? Life isn't like that.

Oh that looks so cute, but also kind of disturbing...

There is a kind of a "movement" called "the dark side of the Pokemon" that was started by Ayem if I'm not mistaking. The idea is to show the actual ferocity of the series and the games accompanying it. Because when you think of it - it's not different from the illegal dog fights. And we all know how animals look after those. And what they look at the beginning. Definitely not cute.

That's a really good point. I don't suppose I ever really thought about it that way.
