All the Arch Angels looked over the design and said it was OK.. And that I was good to go...

I'm not being racist or offensive towards Indian culture.. Heck I have Cherokee blood in me...

Not to butt in but AN have not done a Indian theme. They did a turkey themed one and that's about it for this kinda theme.

I don't mean to sound like an asshole on this but, literally, what makes this one different? AN did a design on the Native Americans. This one is no different. Gorgeous and would look beautiful as a suit. I do not know if this is a joke but stop it. It really hurts people's feelings that worked so hard for a design only to say its racist. There is nothing wrong with it, before you start complaining to Jitter and I on it take a look at AN's design then come back. It's not racist

So those of you saying it is racist and not ok be sure you have a right to actually speak for the native American side. And there are many things with this type of theme.

Its offensive because Native Americans arent a theme or a mascot, they are literally a race. Im not gonna yell at you, but Im just telling you.

While the term "Indian" is politically incorrect, there's nothing wrong with making a design based on other cultures.
Just like there's nothing wrong with wearing clothing and accessories from other cultures.
And it wouldn't be an "N word" design, it would be an African design.
People make Asian designs all the time and no one seems to care. So why would the Native American culture be any different?
It just seems like a waste of energy to get worked up over something like this.

They stated that if I am not a part of the race, I cannot state it is offensive. Such as, if an AD was actually called a racist slur like the "N" word, by their logic I would have no right to say it was racist to call an AD that. Which is just silly.

The fact that this is for Thanksgiving, and is called "indian" is just not okay.
The set up is more stereotyping, like a halloween costume store.

tbh it is more a waste of energy trying to explain /why/ this is wrong, to people who just don't get it.

Also, those of us stating our opinions against this AD don't really seem too "worked up", rather, those opposed seem to be blowing things up.

I am basely going off the Pilgrim and Native American thing that goes on around Thanksgiving. I figured I make something to go with this theme of a idea. As Turkey design would be... To repeatative. Even though that is my next and last design maybe... Sorry that this offended you. As I told another. When I get home I be changing the words from Indian to Native..

Wow I laughed so hard at that. To me no, you shouldn't find it offensive if it has absolutely nothing to do with you. Most of the people you are defending for you feeling they will find it offensive laugh about it. If they find it disrespectful or offensive let them speak up about it. You have no right to speak up in someone else's place, it does nothing but lead to fights. So yes I'll have fun with realizing people have a right to speak up for themselves and that you should not be speaking for someone else. Everyone hates assumptions and you are assuming someone finds it offensive when in actuality the only ones finding it offensive are those that have nothing to do with that culture.

This design is rly cool !:D And idk, but there seems to be people that doesn't remember what 'racist' means- "by treating a spesific group of people(by colour of skin/their counrty) different. Which is not the case .3. You made a design based of a culture-- how can they be offended by that?

You should see the chaos in my other journal...I lost a friend for trying to say things could have been gently worded...

Seriously, if they get mad over having their culture being in a design, they should think about all the other cultures out there being used as well. Most husky dogs would have the same case(as they're a huge importance in cultures like Sami)

Anything can draw inspiration from anything else. Especially a species that can change depending on what strikes it's fancy. Who's to say this adorable critter didn't admire the Native Americans so much, and when it went through the rebirthing process, didn't decide 'hey, they had cool stuff I wanna be like them' eh?

Maybe you should think more deeply into something before speaking your thoughts. Chances are that first thought isn't the thing you need to voice.

Pardon me. I am Apart of the cheroenhaka tribe of Native Americans This design isnt racist its quite beatiful on my part i've actually shown the native american DADS to the tribe's chief and he says he loves them we had a pow wow on saturday and i was like why not. also he is my cousin.

People,this is not racist, as part of a small culture miself i love when other people make desings like this, it celebrates the culture and help it live
