A quick ref sheet of my newest character, Soli (which means "salt" in Latin).
She's a chimera of sorts, composed of a jaguar, pronghorn antelope, and ornate eagle-hawk. She can shape shift into each of what her form is composed of, but in each of those three forms, she keeps the horns, long fangs, and sparse feathers (on her face, mostly). Her bones are a little lighter than those of a mammal, due to having some bird in her, and her claws are non-retractable.
Gender: female
Species: chimeric shapeshifter (jaguar, pronghorn antelope, and ornate eagle-hawk)
Diet: omnivorous (eats mostly fish and reptiles in main form, but will eat what the other forms commonly eat, when in them)
Length: head and body, 5'9" ; tail, 29"
Height: up to shoulders, 2'6"
Weight: 140 lb
Personality: solitary, laid back, fiercely protective and loyal, fussy, observant, cold, independent, detached, unpredictable temper (sometimes slow to anger, sometimes quick), quiet
Other Notes: Soli can run fast (~45 mph) for short distances and jump up to six feet in the air in her main form, but she cannot climb well (due to having hooves, although they are three-toed) nor see in the dark as well as a pure jaguar might (until she is in that form). When attacking, she goes straight for the back of the neck or head of her prey, biting into the skull or spinal cord to kill the animal. She's most active at dawn and dusk, but she isn't opposed to being awake at night (though her night vision isn't as good as in her jaguar form) nor during the day.
She's kind of a creature whom I'll be using ... I can't really say as a "fursona" nor as a "mascot," exactly. I think she's kind of a representation of me but also separate? Kind of hard to explain what her relationship to me is, but know that she's not replacing my mascot, the nerd bird, Geo. She's more personal--I think--than they are.
I think I could call her my "inner" monster, in the flesh, cause I formed her when I wasn't particularly feeling 100%, but she's not necessarily a "vent" character or anything like that. Maybe just the yin to the yang that is Geo (even though they're not really "me," either).
I'll mostly be drawing her for personal images, while Geo will be the main one I'll use to interact with others' characters. She's not talkative, like Geo, and is much more "animal" animal, rather than an anthropomorphized animal with human emotions (although she has some).
