Scratch another drawing off my bucket list.
Last year when Guardians of the Galaxy came to the theaters, I read some of the old comics to get a handle on the movie. In the end, I decided to create my own alien race that is a member of the Guardians. Second or third tier but still a member. So, this is a Murg, from the moon of Murghatal. the moon is a vast savannah of blue and brown grass, populated by animals that have become rather heavily armored in most places. So combat that, the Murg developed sets of poison barbs where their dewclaw would be. The Murg used to hut by chasing, grappling and then stinging their prey. The poison causes spasms and then convulsions in the victim's diaphragm. They literally laugh themselves to death. Ha. Eventually, the Murg became a space faring race, hiring themselves out as bounty or game hunters. But this one joined the Guardians. Those rods on his belt are all shock batons. Murg fighting style is a little bit of eskrima, a little bit of mai thai kickboxing.
