This character has been in the process for quite a while, since a bit before Rainfurrest actually.

So, those of you that have followed Limizuki's evolution will know that Shadowfang replaced a portion of Limi's soul.

So what happened to that portion that was ejected?

I present to you Rune. She is the spirit form of Limi, basically an ethereal form of the piece of soul that Shadowfang replaced. she is a separate entity from Limi, but still a part of her at the same time. Think along the lines of those movies you see that have a devil on one shoulder, and an angel on the other (okay, I'm mostly talking about Emperor's New Groove)....well, where Shadowfang is the devil, Rune is the angel.

EDIT 3/20/17 So, i've decided to change Rune's background a bit. Rune was summoned by Limizuki for aide in a war using old Pagan rituals and a sliver of her soul. Rune took a similar appearance to Limi when she was summon and bound to Limi. Once her task was complete, Limi set Rune free to do as she pleased, and having a fascination of the Earth around her, Rune decided to remain on this plain. She also decided to retain the Limi-like appearance as tribute to the warrior who summoned her and treated her as an equal rather than a slave.
