Another quick-ish watercolor painting. I painted this in the time span of one Agalloch album, what are really long. This was more of just washes and some dip pen with ink. The crystal is actually 3D. I used a technique with:glue,acrylic and Modge Podge to give a cracked, crystal-ish look that also feels like glass. It requires high heat in order for it to crack as well as made a rough texture. I plan on using this technique on larger paintings in the future for some dimension instead of a flat surface.

Media: Watercolor, Liquid acrylic, acrylic, dip pen w/ various nibs, holofoil ink. glue, modge Podge all on 140lb Arches 9 x 12 in cold pressed watercolor paper.
