textured is when you get a stock texture like http://coffaefox.deviantart.com/art.....xture-91650045 and put it over the art. This is fine in most pictures; Hell I texture my work, but on reference sheets it's a no go. The texture makes the colours not flat and impossible to get an accurate colour drop off of for the base colours of the sona. If someone is going to teture a ref, either put it UNDERNEATH the character OR put a colour palette OVER the texture so this issue doesn't happen :V
Oh they are so very cute! I love the surly look on the one in the Grinch sweater, and the ball of lights ( I would cry if that happened too!), and I really like my epic struggle to free my self from my own set of uncooperative lights. I love them all! Each one is so very cute and unique
