I got to MEET FUCKING LAWRENCE GOWAN.

and guess how it all happened? 

I have been posting my art of him on facebook (and tagging him in it - we're friends on Facebook....) and he liked it, like, a LOT.

Then I had mentioned in one of my Facebook statuses, because of my work schedule, I might not have been able to make it to the Styx concert and would try to send him my art in one way or another....

*ding* I get a Facebook msg on Sunday - from LAWRENCE HIMSELF - that he really likes my art and would like to give me 2 tickets and 2 backstage passes to come see them live on tuesday!!!

LIKE OMG THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER....so yeah. I get to see styx live, and meet one of my music idols!!!(And luckily, was able to take the day off!)

He was the nicest person ever and we talked for a good 30 minutes about music, my art, work and just random stuff. He decided not to take my art with him (because he didn't want it getting ruined) so we decided on him signing my artwork instead, however he did take with him the birthday card I made for him  . And he was totally into the details on the larger piece (and liked how I got his cane in there) - I'll post pics of the art I got him to sign ASAP 

BUT IT WAS LIKE HE WAS THERE TO SEE ME, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. I still can't believe this!

And he LOVED my pants and thought they were "such a throwback" and HE EVEN ASKED FOR A SELFIE WITH ME AND MY PANTS LIKE WICKED!

NOVEMBER 17, 2015 IS NOW MARKED AS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE.

TL;DR - Lawrence Gowan liked my art so much he got me tickets and backstage passes to the Styx show in Winnipeg and got to meet and talk with him on a "mortal" level.
