Please, No Whining!
A little tongue-in-cheek, but a disclaimer just the same.
I love all my watchers and supporters, I do. But I want to point out to those who might not otherwise consider this: Complaining to an artist directly about their prices is quite rude.
I don't mind explaining why my prices are what they are: as an artist with a particular skill set, as with any trade, I deserve to be paid a fair wage. My current prices are set with me making only slightly above minimum wage, as I know that not all interested parties can afford my work and I try to keep my prices as low as I am able.
If you wouldn't want someone coming into your place of work and demanding that you work a full day's shift for less that your current wage, why would you do this to an artist? It's the same concept. Art is my job, this is how I make my living. Please respect that.
And lastly, I can't afford all the things I'd like to have, either. So I understand if you tell me that sadly, you cannot afford my work. I promise I will not hold it against you. I understand! I'd rather you be honest with me that you cannot afford it rather than complain or try to haggle me down. I'll appreciate your honesty and wish you a good day, and then we'll both feel better for being honest. Whining and complaining just makes you look immature, and might just get you blocked. So keep that in mind.
