My much-missed kitty Jasper.

I set out to do a bit of practice using an old photo for reference and would have been happy to get a halfway convincing cat at the end. To my delight this really *is* a pretty much spot-on portrait of the old man. (he was about 19 when this photo was taken, he made it to about 21-22. If ever you could describe a cat as 'kind', strange word for a cat, I know, but still that would be Jasper. He was a sweet old thing but you didn't want to piss him off).

Permanent yellow, quinacridone deep purple, indathrene blue and titanium white. 2.5hrs.

I'm going to have a go at my other previous cat Ben Cthulhu at some point but that may be a struggle because a. he was ginger and I find black fur easier and b. the photos are much older and less distinct. Still, I guess we don't grow if we don't challenge ourselves :D
