A very detailed and inspiring description.
I like that they target to evolve as a species despite the fact that it consists of intelligent beings. It is usually not that common in nature. But I guess this allows to understand the big picture. I can imagine that it is hard to stay with this principles if one is isolated after a journey into the unknown.
The natural boundary to nature is also very nice in my opinion.
