Viscaria Moretti is the leader of an underground group of revolutionaries. An expert fencer she goes by Commander Nex in the field and her identity is mostly hidden. There is a male in the group that knows who she truly is but she has him act as the leader of the army and acts through him. She loves to play the polite oblivious lady, and is shrewd with a sharp mind

She lots her eye when her village was raided by the now emperor's forces. She was captured along with several others to be sold into slavery, but along the way an opportunity to escape arose. The price of freedom was her hand and after much fighting and complications with dirt and infection she ended up losing most of that arm. Since then she's honed her skills on the battlefield. Those lucky enough to watch her says it's like a bloody dance. Elegant in it's carnage. She's also a teacher of fencing to members of the rebels and trained Nessa personally
