I'm sorry but I find this a bit odd, where I come from calling someone a dog or making him act like one is considered an insult, I understand it maybe a cultural thing so in your country maybe it's common for people to pretend to be dogs as they find it adorable, dogs also resemble loyalty, but I can't help but find it an odd choice.
