Nothing ventured, nothing gained...I only have MSPaint to work with, but I decided I liked the look of Furball's mystery girl enough to take my own bash at it. Since I suspected the other entrants would be going to all ends of the spectrum on this one, I decided to use psychology to pick her colors. Please to let me 'splain...
The Mobians are all bright rainbow colored, so I went with a more muted red-brown tone for her main body, a darker blue for her eyes, and a cream for her muzzle, just for contrast to the "norm," which ended up setting her up as an individualist in my head, someone who prefers to do things her own way. Of course, being a Mobian, I'd imagine she'd still be drawn to the brighter shades, but nothing so bland to her as reds: the green looked "best" with her fur color (as in, the biggest friggin' contrast to her primary color), and the blue "sideburns" were an accident I though fit with the overall scheme.
Her attire, though, suggested something of an old-fashioned, or more accurately "retro," taste...thighhighs, granny glasses, and a scarf? So, I went with more traditional colors for her accoutrements: red silk scarf, black leather boots and gloves, and simple gold bangles.
