My dog died today. He hadn't been acting right for a few weeks, lethargic, not eating well. Finally went to the vet this morning, got bad news, went back tonight, and left without him. Not how I expected my day to go.
I happened to be home for Thanksgiving and got to say goodbye. He was the first dog I really felt like was mine. Nine years wasn't enough. I'll miss the hell out of this son of a bitch. Already do.
