The first in a series to explain the back story of this Jay person. What is going on? What does this person have to do with anything? This continues off the Miles saga I wrote before.
So yeah this is the first part in separating Jay into a character, more than a self insert. I didn't wanna go fursona cause everyone does that, so instead I'm taking a different path. I also kinda like this shorter cycle as I can write and not burn out so fast if I keep things short and maybe in parts. Might work better than giant stories that tire me out. I'd also like to give credit to
pacattack25 since this kinda was something we ended up setting up. However it's far different than what we had from like last year even.
Genesis
Part 1
“We don’t have any records of you I’m afraid.”
“That place has been abandoned and broken down for years.”
“And some people thought I was a faker.”
“I don’t know how it happened, but you’re here now.”
“Buddy I missed you so much.”
“Sonny I can hit a bulls-eye in the dark, during a rainstorm.”
“Radical bro, check out this righteous beat.”
“I do not know how we came to be. I only know you somehow ended up being our core essence.”
“It is ok to accept what we are. You’re still you and we are our own beings.”
“Uh huh don’t worry, you’ll understand some day.”
Jay awoke suddenly, in a pitch black room. Looking to his right, he could see himself strapped down to a metal table. His arms, legs, and neck were bound by metal cuffs. The bind around his neck was especially uncomfortable. He had no idea how he ended up in this place, or why it looks like he’s about to take part in some science project. If only he could remember just what all the voices were trying to tell him. Jay tried to recall just what got him into this mess, but kept drawing blanks. It was as if his memories were locked away from him. He also wore shorts, and nothing else. All other clothes were removed.
A young voice softly spoke from the darkness. “Oh you’re awake? I guess you do rest after all. Does something like you even dream?”
Jay tried to face who was talking, but the binds prevented him. All he could do was strike a chat. Perhaps he could get some answers. “Where am I? Are you the person who’s holding me here? More importantly why am I here?” Jay queried the stranger. Being treated like an alien in a government facility was freaking him out. His voice quivered with worry as he uttered his questions.
The darkness chuckled back. “So you feel fear too. You’re getting more interesting.”
Feeling mocked, Jay lashed back. Just from this stranger’s laughter, he could tell this person wasn’t a friend. That was the laugh of a monster. “Of course I feel fear! What person doesn’t feel fear when a damn psycho abducts them?!” Jay’s fear diminished a little, as his anger took over. Sometimes anger could make you forget just how terrifying a predicament is.
Footsteps echoed the room as the stranger came to reveal himself. The person turned out to be a boy. A small fox sporting two tails, and a not so friendly look on his face was the big scary stranger? “You keep looping yourself with other people like you’re one of them. You use this false sense of security to defend yourself. So as a matter of fact it appears you sport denial as your strongest emotion of all, if in your case I can even call it that.”
“T...Tails? Are you kidding me?” Jay began to snicker and giggle. “What is this? Playing house? Hey Jr., why don’t you leave the adults to hang around the adults, and you can go play with other psychotic children? Man you really had me there for a moment. Seriously though, let's stop this little role play.”
The fox smirked once more, though his eyes twitched to show his agitation. He was desperately trying to keep his cool. “You’re actually younger than I am idiot. You may appear older, but realistically you’re like 3 years old at most. Even more hilarious is you insinuating I should play with toys. Well if you knew any better, that is exactly what I am doing.”
“That’s downright sick. What gives you the right to think you can play god with me. You don’t know me and I am a human being.” Jay’s skin crawled. This was like waking up in a horror flick. He really hoped a saw wasn’t gonna come down and cut him in half.
The fox started laughing. This laugh was not the kind received from a casual chuckle, but the kind of response to being told a really funny joke. “You really have absolutely no idea do you? Or perhaps you just blocked out truth. I do know you. I know you as Mark Marksmen. I know you as Mrs. Vixen. I know you as Johnny Blade. I know you as Logdom. I regretfully know you as Broseph Dude….and I really regret knowing that.” The fox boy really did seem disgusted to mention that last name.
“Those names are…kinda familiar. Wait why? I didn’t go incognito. Most importantly I never went incognito as a woman.” Jay was genuinely curious why all of those names ring a bell.
The fox continued. “Worst of all I know you as Buddy. I can’t be having that guy around to ruin my plans.”
All these names swirled around Jay’s head. Why did they mean anything? Why is Tails acting so despicable all of the sudden? This wasn't how he normally would act. “Who the hell are you?!” Jay wondered if he was a clone or perhaps something else entirely.
The foxes tails wrapped around Jay’s face. He grinned, and looked eager to the point of making the atmosphere feel uncomfortable. “To the people around the world, I am known as Tails. The kid loser who loved to help out anyone he could. I am known as the little butt monkey of a blue hedgehog who would steal all the credit. Take all the glory I should be getting.”
So this person was also a hero who went off the deep end? A mind controlled Tails maybe or this is a dream? Now this really felt like a comic book movie. Well in these stories talking to the hero might help bring them back to the good side. Jay thought it couldn’t hurt to try. “Ok then er…Tails...if you are him or some clone....or dream....You’re supposed to be a hero right? Well this isn’t very heroic to capture a pedestrian.”
“I AIN’T FINISHED YOU CONSTRUCT!” The fox boy shouted. “I do not go by that stupid pet name. That is the name that kid uses. That kid and his stupid friends thought they got rid of me. But I still exist. I exist, and for some moments I get control of my counter parts body.”
“Okay now you’re really freaking me out. So you are you, but you’re not you. You’re making no sense. What is with your counterpart talk?” Jay did not understand anything anymore. Heck this person’s back story seems even more confusing than the dribble he was spouting out earlier.
The foxboy sighed. “I really should try talking to Logdom. At least he was the smart one among you. I’ll just dumb it down for someone as incompetent as you. I am Miles. The Tails people know of is the true owner of this body I am using. I lost my body to this one, and soon I will return permanently. You or should I say, all of you will be a thorn in my tails if I keep you around. You had a use years ago, but now you will be forgotten.”
