A creature of my own creation :3

Tressilates live in the bogs and marshes of Thae. they can go on land, but would much rather be in a damp moist environment. Their bodies are covered with vine-like appendages that are very sensitive. While hunting for prey they lie beneath the muddy bottom of a swamp while their flagella poke above the mud and feel every movement in the currant. Much like a spider uses the strands of it's web to feel where prey has landed, a tressilate uses its flagella appendages to feel the water. It could easily sense movement created by a fish from several feet away.

They are omnivore and have a lot of vegetation in their diet. If they are hungry, the fastest way to feed themselves is to swim around with their mouth open and strain out the free floating vegetation by opening their flow cavity.

Tressilates are cognitive and intelligent, though not as intelligent as Verr or Kimmerkett. Tressilate females lay eggs which the father watches over, though mates often change from season to season.
