Now see, this is why I can never get around to drawing porn here. Too many sources of inspiration, this fandom of ours practically delivers it to you on a silver platter. Just like www.8776shipit.com .
Now, I looked at the page in question. Here is my take on it. I think a lot of folks are thinking the same thing :)
Pay particular attention to the TV screen. Relevant (or redundant, depending on how you see it) goodness abounds. Now, stop coming up with new sources of drama so I can get to more productive work.
Edit 07/13/10: The site plastered across the thundercloud is now at http://popufur.com and includes a Java utility that allows you to use your spare CPU cycles to help calculate the next round of stats, SETI-style.
Technical:
This was supposed to be a quickie, but then I learned how to do something else I never did before--a shadow layer overlaying the pic with holes poked in it so highlights and light sources pop out. Which seems to work well since the primary light source is supposed to be the window. Concieved last night at 3am, scanned and colored up during the next day. I also think it's the first time I've drawn any of my characters with their ears lowered.
Digitally inked pencils, Micrografx Picture Publisher 8. 23 object layers, 177MB fullsize/uncompressed.

Really nice work with the lighting, though if the only lighting source is the window, I might suggest using a gradient focused around the window so that the walls have the same nice contrast of shadow as the chair and Tanya.
That aside, I'll be in the basement with the radio, flashlight, and playing cards if she wants to join, but I think this'll all blow over pretty quick.

As in lighten up the wall around the window? If so, that seems to make sense. When I orginally put that shadow layer up there, there weren't any curtains--they were one of the last things added. It would make sense that some light gets backscattered onto the wall from them--if that's what you're talking about.
I might be wrong, but I was actually suggesting that the walls should be darker except right near the window itself. In any case, this image reminds me of a very similar scene from back when I was a young child - one of the first tornados I ever saw when I was staying with my grandma. Very scary.
It has spread.. The drama is running across a couple of boards/chans such as.... well, nevermind. There's been a bit of howling outside FA about it by ..um.. unhappy FA'ers? fed by the usual trolls/troglodytes.
the shadowing across the arm and back of the chair as well as her face, neck and bust is impressive.

The site referenced in the pic professes to rank FA members according to the number of watchers and the respective "quality" (popularity) of those watching. It's caused a bunch of butthurt, hence the oncoming drama depicted as an approaching storm.
As for 8776shipit, there is a sound file that has to load up and play before the rest of the page is displayed. Give it a minute or so, it's not a terribly well-written site as far as I can tell.

Well so far, there are three being mentioned in conjunction with this pic:
--the www.superwailingbonus.com/farank
which purports to rank FA members by the quantity and quality of their watchers + watching/watched by ratio (and stir up drama while doing so)
whom I compared to this fandom's penchant for delivering drama on a silver platter,
--and http://forums.furaffinity.net/showp.....p;postcount=11
, where someone made an eerily similar comment prior to dragonrider1227's comment about "giant cocks" and their correleation with popularity here. When I first mentioned this link, it wasn't clear that it was a link and not just bolded text.

I tried superwailingbonus, but it was just a home page. I tried adding "Frank" but that got nowhere. Now that I see I should have spelled that "Farank" I'll try again.
I saw the delicacy for sale on shipit.com and shared it with a few choice correspondents.
I don't think I need to read someone else's observation that too many furries draw giant cocks. I noticed that long, long ago. At least five minutes.

Ha ha. Okay, this might actually be sorta useful. I might be able to find some new artists by searching form number one down... then again mabye all I'll find that way is a lot of gay wolf art with huge penises.
And who *is* number one? Ha ha ha -- I was right on the mark!
But at numero 850 or thereabouts, with over 98% of the rest of the 50,000 some odd members listed, I'm not doing too badly. And I've onlh been a member for about a year and a half.
Anyway, this seems harmless if obsessive.

Ah yes, now that I see the full size image, I see you know a wall cloud when you see one. I have a wonderful 21st. story view out over the entire west end of the city and beyond to the encircling suburbs. I've always wanted to weatch a class 4 or 5 rip through the burbs while I watched from the balcony. I guess that's a bit selfish of me. I'd settle for a small meteor that only blows up a shopping mall parking lot while I watched.
I think we almost had one cross my neck of the woods a couple of summers ago. During a severe thunderstorm moving into the area, I heard a warning mentioning a possible twister indicated by Doppler radar, passing over Riverdale (which is the extreme northwest Bronx) I live in the north-central part of the borough with north-facing front windows. I almost thought I spotted something swirling beneath the cloud base, but I couldn't see any higher due to an awning. By the time I ran down to the porch to see higher up, it had already started pouring rain.
I did get some neat still frames from video shot later that night, showing the sky lit up behind darkened buildings.

Twisters in the Bronx?
I've heard of holdups there. ie:
"There's a holdup in the Bronx,
Brooklyn's broken out in fights,
There's a traffic jam in Harlem
That's backed up to Jackson Heights,
There's a scout who chored a child,
Kruschev's due in Idlewild!
Car 54 where arrrrre youuuu?"

I did have an idea...it would have consisted of my skunk Nei'chelle (of "Hokey Pokey in da Butt" fame) proudly displaying a huge strap-on dildo (labled IMVU) with Fender suspended by his rear end from it.
At the time I considered I might catch a banhammer for it owing to the amount of drama :) Nowadays, the "dildo" reference has gone out of fashion (but IMVU's effect on FA seems to be tracking close to "as predicted").

In a nutshell, IMVU purchased FA. IMVU, being a for-profit corporation is widely expected to make changes to FA to reverse it's long-time losses. These initiatives are expected (but not confirmed by any real sources) to involve non-fandom ads (believed to be already implemented) and some sort of DA-esque paywall...eventually.
IMVU paywalled the mature (user-created) content on it's site as it was the only way it could reliably screen out minors. Some people feel that will eventually happen here.
It was also discovered that IMVU users were re-selling images stolen from various art-sites (including FA) as digital 'decorations' for user 'dwellings' within their chat system. What got FA users' jimmies further in a knot is that IMVU requires you to send them a DMCA before they'll take down stolen art. But since most of the stolen work was of the mature variety, you had to have a paid account (y'know, to verify you're 18+) in order to find out if your stuff is being pirated.
