I still hoping to see Geno again in any game

He did make a cameo appearance in Superstar Saga if you didn't know, but it was just as a pointless trinket during a mini game.

He may be low on the list, but I never heard anything about Nintendo saying that the number of votes would determine who gets in. All they said is that every character submitted will be considered. Not only that, but I also read a Gamespot article that Nintendo had tried to get Geno into the Smash series in the past, but Square wouldn't hand over the rights for them to do so. Now that they were able to nab Cloud however, that's opened the door for the possibility that Geno could be more likely than he was before.

Also, there is Megaman and Ryu from Capcom, so add Geno awith cloud for Square is a possibility. Actually, a very good one! =D

I'm sure number of votes are a factor, but I imagine a bigger one would be not only Nintendo's willingness to add the character based on the company's own interest, plus their ability to devise a good design and moveset for the character, but also the willingness of the character's parent company to hand them over should it be from a third-party title. There are also characters like Bayonetta who, while popular, would probably be less likely to be added due to target audience factors. Doesn't seem appropriate to add a character from an M-rated game to one that's E10. Based on the ratings alone, a large chunk of the game's target audience shouldn't even know who Bayonetta is beyond having seen the game's case in a store.

True. For what I can remeber Sakurai even said once that he was planing to Add Heihachi at the roost, but he didn't knew out to make his moveset propely so he just put that dlc costume (but I think that is easy to solve, so maybe he could show up in the next game).
The only thing I know for sure is that I not going to lose my mind over the subject. Excluding the vote, we can't do much about it, just wait. I hope that in the next nintendo direct we will receive the awnser for our question about the new fighter from the ballot. And I sure that will also influence the next game rooster too.

Indeed. I don't really care much who gets added. I'm just happy to have so many fighters to choose from, and to see Nintendo still giving so much loving care to not only their franchises, but to their fans as well. Both of which are dying qualities in gaming nowadays.

As for me, I voted for Sparkster from the Rocket Knight series, Ukulele Pichu from the third Pokémon Ranger game, and Rook from an SNES RPG called Arcana which was made by HAL Laboratories.

Me too! I even think that smash bros there is too many characters! There is so much cool fighters that I can't play with all XD
And nintendo wasn't planing to put more characters than in brawl, but in the end, we got even more and DLCs! But is not like I will buy any of they... I doubt the new guy will be someone that I like more than everyone that come in the main rooster.
