My character in my friend's Godling Campaign.
Base in Kobold Press' Midgard world, this story takes place in the scarcely detailed eastern edge, where the world literally comes to a crashing brink. In this flat world, the eastern edge is where all the rubble and debris from the western edge washed back up through planar tides, and smashed into the land. The eastern lands are protected from cataclysmic destruction by large structures called Torii Gates, and it has been mantled on our fledgling gods to repair them so that our world doesn't meet a grizzly end at it's own hands.
Chono is a God of Strength, Survival, Earth, and Fire. In History he is known for devastating displays of power, going as far as irradiating a mountain valley to slay a god who dared to deceive his followers and their families, and fed on fellow budding gods to gather his own power. A beast by nature, Chono embraces beasts and humanoids of all shapes to follow his temple's teachings.
Simply put: "Sustain, Subsist, Survive."
Chono strives to fight his destructive nature, as he doesn't want to foster a religion of war. He wants his followers to be mighty, and able to protect what they need to survive, and what they love, much like he tries to protect his fellow pantheon. Through his efforts and displays of retaliation, he hopes to one day leave his temple in a state where it can run itself, and he can spend the rest of his days slumbering happily in the daisy field atop the grand plateau in his Heaven.
