Yes, folks, it was so cold in Chicago during Midwest Fur Fest 2008 that even the Tauntauns from Hoth were commenting on the weather! Fortunately this bloke wasn't around during the great fire alarm where we were all driven out into the freezing Chicago night... because we all know what happens when Tauntauns are around while people are freezing...

Fortunately when the fire alarm went off I was up in my room on the 12th floor. The hotel is divided into fire zones and we were not affected by the alarm. Never even heard it. I was surprised to see everyone outside with the firetrucks though and for a while was concerned.
As for the costumes, that's me wearing the Tauntaun and my room mate, Exkhaniber, in Dodger. :)
