Kijani was the daughter of Mkali, the Keenest of Sight in Scar's Lion Guard. She was a cub when Scar destroyed the Guard, thus killing her father, and her mother had fled the Pridelands with her in tow. She grew up a rogue, always moving from territory to territory with her mother. Shortly after her mother's death, Kijani found herself in the Jungle, ruled by the Kisiri Pride. The King, a lion by the name of Chuma, decided to spare her, and give her a chance to prove herself to be worthy of joining the Kisiri. Long story short, she and Chuma become close and he chooses her to be his Queen.
