Classic comfort food from

Ingredients:
4 Large Potatoes
Ground meat (turkey, pork, and beef all work)
1 C Mushrooms
1/2 C Peas
1/2 C Onion
Thyme
Marjoram
2 Cloves of Garlic
1 C Tomato Sauce
3 Tbs butter
1/2 Milk
Lets make it!
- Skin and chop up potatoes and add them to a pot of water to cook. Make sure to salt generously.
- In a large stove top pan on medium heat, throw in desired amount of ground meat. Season well.
- When meat is browned add in mushrooms, chopped onion, peas, garlic, thyme, and marjoram.
- After 5 minutes when the vegetables soften mix in tomato sauce. Let cook until sauce thickens
- While waiting on the meat mixture check on the potatoes. Once a fork slides into them easily remove from the water.
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Mash potatoes with butter and milk. If potatoes aren't smooth enough add more milk.
- Make sure everything is seasoned well before continuing. TASTE TEST.
- Spread meat mixture evenly in an oven safe dish. Cover evenly with mashed potatoes.
** For crispy top dust Parmesan cheese on that bad boy
- Put into the oven for 10-15 minutes
**The oven step can be skipped if you want. Putting this in the oven simply adds another dimension to the meal. When in the oven the flavors REALLY mingle. IF you are tight for time this still tastes good without an oven.
ENJOY
