How the hell did he get so big and WHAT did he eat to be this fat? Who knows, but one thing for sure is the last thing you want to grow massive is a drooly dumbass clumsy hyena like Enigma.
You wouldn't believe how long I had been working on this for, it's had about 6 different overhauls over the year but I'm finally happy enough with it to unleash the mass to the masses.
Enigma and art are mine.

Aww boy, I've been waiting eagerly to see this finished and it absolutely meets my expectations! I think the change of background has worked out well. Myself being such a fan of macro, I've never figured cities being so comfortable. :p
But anyway, as ever, you've aced it. Getting the perspective you've got is great although one tiny thing I might ask is what/who Enigma's looking at. I understand in terms of me and everyone else looking at the pic, Enigma is looking back, but in the context of the piece, it might make more sense for him to be looking at his belly? Or maybe a cake or something on the ground, I don't know. XD But your digital colour and shade magic is beautiful as always. I'm particularly impressed by the work you've given his belly. It is the eye grabber of the piece and you've certainly drawn it accordingly. Wonderful reflection of the sunset on his fur. In fact, you've done that thing I love where you add colour to just about everything which is totally the case. And let's face it: colour is pretty awesome.
Three things can be derived from this piece. One: I want a pet macro fat hyena. Two: you're still showing ever more development with digital work and it's such a great thing to be adding to your art portfolio alongside your traditional work. And three: Gebbu might have to rethink tormenting our favourite hyena!
Brilliant job buddy, it's a pleasure as always to admire your work! It's been really good seeing more work from you lately, despite your commitments away from art. I look forward to seeing what's next!

He actually was looking at his belly in the older versions, I only changed it a couple months ago. To me it felt a bit less 'intimate' like the viewers weren't really a part of it without the eye contact - and the more I looked at it the more it looked like he had a thousand yard stare haha. This WAS just a silly idea for fun though so I stopped overthinking about context and just decided to go with what I personally found visually appealing...so staring at "us" in a fourth wall breaking way it is. Perhaps he's proud of his size and he's showing it off to us. Who knows.
That city was a nice idea but was taking too much time. Perhaps too ambitious at my current skill, but there's always another time. I think the change was for the better here though.
Thanks as usual bud <3
